Planning ahead Its that time of year again This year I will be back to my original plan of trying to feed a family of 6 from my allotment. Last year I did well but this year I want to do even better. I do think it is possible to grow all our fruit, veg and herbs from the allotment with carful planning which I don't think I achieved previously. When I begun planting the year it was a bit hap hazard and only a third of the allotment was actually used. Currently on my allotment which is 1/7 of an acre I have a 6m x3m duck run, 6m x3m netted area, another 3m x3m cage, greenhouse, shed, summerhouse and 15 growing beds. With all this already in place I still have 1/3rd of my allotment available to transform. Once I have a plan in place I will upload it along with my targets for this year.
